Thank you for being a vital part of the journey as I teach and guide students in their social-emotional development. Without your support, it would be challenging to provide our students with these valuable learning opportunities. I sincerely appreciate all the donations I received for my project.\r\n\r\nThe materials have been utilized in various ways. I was able to read to both whole classes and small groups, and all the students enjoyed the new books that covered topics like \"Be Polite and Kind,\" \"I Have Ants in My Pants,\" and \"Listen and Learn.\" These books were a fantastic addition to our collection.\r\n\r\nAnother big hit was the introduction of the \"See My Feelings\" mirrors. My students loved looking at themselves and recognizing their emotions while pairing them with different facial expressions. This tool proved to be an excellent way to teach students about their feelings and help them understand how others feel. It also significantly expanded their vocabulary related to emotions. Every single student I worked with loved the mirrors.\r\n\r\nI incorporated the fidget toys into some of the cozy corners, which served as a great support for calming some of my more energetic and unfocused students. I will continue to use all the materials graciously donated to my preschool students. Once again, thank you for your contributions. Every donation makes a meaningful impact on our students' lives.","fullyFundedDate":1737653780706,"projectUrl":"project/its-ok-not-to-be-ok/8854136/","projectTitle":"It’s Ok Not to Be Ok!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gialloreto","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8916962"},{"teacherId":9540674,"projectId":8781763,"letterContent":"On behalf of my students, I want to extend our heartfelt thanks for your generous donations to support the purchase of special needs resources for our classroom. Your contribution is making a significant difference in the lives of our students, and we are deeply grateful for your support.\r\nWith your help, we were able to provide essential resources that cater to the diverse needs of our students. The materials you funded, such as accommodating seating, sensory toys, fidget bands, sequin sensory wall, and sensory paths for the floor, are invaluable in ensuring that every child in our classroom has the opportunity to thrive, learn, and feel supported. These tools allow our students to engage in the curriculum in ways that are both meaningful and accessible to them.\r\nOur students, who may have previously faced challenges in participating fully in classroom activities, are now showing remarkable progress in their academic, social, and emotional development. For example, they engage during large group in their seating, they follow the sensory path to transition within the classroom, and they can self regulate by using the sequin wall or the various toys. These are just a few of the many ways your donation has had a direct and positive impact on our classroom.\r\nWe are truly inspired by your commitment to helping students with special needs. Your support has not only provided materials but also conveyed to our students that they are valued and deserving of the same opportunities as all other learners. We are excited to continue seeing the growth and progress of our students with these new resources.\r\nOnce again, thank you for your generous contribution. We are incredibly fortunate to have you as part of our educational community, and we look forward to keeping you updated on the continued success of our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1733431511421,"projectUrl":"project/there-is-ability-in-every-disability/8781763/","projectTitle":"There is Ability in Every Disability","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Melissa Corraliza","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9540674_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733441890233","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9540674"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_72963","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":345,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":73,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":1,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":96,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - Pre-K","studentTeacherRatio":"10.8:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":74.6,"schoolId":72963,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Edmund Hmieleski Junior ECC on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Edmund Hmieleski Junior ECC","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/new-jersey/perth-amboy-public-schools/edmund-hmieleski-junior-ecc/72963"}
