The addition of a rocking chair, bean bag chair, fidgets, and a soft lamp for lighting has made a world of difference for my students. \r\n\r\nWhen my students first walked into the counseling suite area and saw the new materials, their faces lit up with excitement! They eagerly explored the cozy seating options, and many of them immediately curled up in the bean bag. The rocking chair has become a favorite spot for students—whether it's being used for check-ins, sessions, or as a calming place for students to self-regulate. The fidgets have provided a helpful outlet for students who need movement to focus, and the soft lighting has created a soothing atmosphere that makes the space feel like a home away from home. \r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful moments since receiving these materials was during a mindfulness session. A student who typically struggles with anxiety was able to find a comfortable spot in the bean bag, hold onto a fidget, and fully participate in a guided breathing exercise. Seeing students feel comfortable, engaged, and at ease in this space has been truly heartwarming. \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these resources will continue to support our students as they work on social-emotional learning, self-regulation, and coping strategies. With these resources, students are not just learning strategies to manage their emotions—they are developing lifelong skills for resilience and well-being. \r\n\r\nThank you for making a difference in our counseling suite area!
