When the materials first arrived, the room was full of excitement and curiosity. Students were eager to explore and couldn't wait to try new activities using tongs, buttons, string, Play-Doh, zippers, and rubber bands. These hands-on tools are helping them strengthen fine motor skills, practice real-life skills and build confidence. \r\n\r\nThe Fine Motor Boot Camp materials have been such an amazing addition to our kindergarten classrooms. The kits are shared amongst three different classrooms. They are reusable and include both a language and fine motor activity that focuses on key concepts such as colors, numbers, daily living skills, cutting and letters. The students especially love using \"real-life\" items like paint stirrers, clothespins and buttons. The activities also include built-in \"challengers\" and \"simplifers\" so all students can participate successfully and stay motivated in the classroom. \r\n\r\nThank you for all your support in making this a reality. The impact on all students has been profound, and I'd love to share how this program is transforming their reading and writing skills.\r\n\r\nUFLI Foundations is structured to help students practice essential decoding (reading) and encoding (writing) skills regularly and explicitly. These are the building blocks of fluent reading, and your contribution is helping us ensure that all students develop a strong phonics foundation. By focusing on phoneme segmentation, blending, and spelling, we're equipping students with the skills they need to read and write with greater fluency. This approach is especially valuable in helping students build confidence, as they see themselves improving with each lesson.\r\n\r\nEvery student feels valued and encouraged through UFLI Foundations as they work through the program.
