Because of you, Operation Lucky Duck was a huge success—and the impact is felt every single day. I truly feel like a lucky duck to have had this fully funded. \r\n\r\nYour donations helped provide these tools that have truly energized our classroom participation. Students have been so excited to see the ducks change with the seasons/holidays. We've already seen increased focus, improved interaction, and a noticeable boost in classroom morale. Where I used to hear \"I didn't raise my hand\" or was met with looks of confusion when I called on someone, that has now been replaced with students who are feeling excited and engaged because they WANT their duck to be chosen. \r\n\r\nMost importantly, your kindness sent my students a powerful message: they matter. Knowing that people outside of their families care about their success has made a lasting impression on them—and on us.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping turn learning into this joyful, inclusive experience. I know when my project was funded, it was intended for my kindergarten class. However it was funded during the last few weeks of school. I was able to leave several items for the brand new, fresh out of college teacher replacing me. \r\n\r\nMoreover, some of the items I was able to take with me to the high school I now work at. The tools I asked for like the conversation starters, the the weighted stuff animals, and the emotional spots have offered tremendous supports for my 9th grade students. The biggest hit though, are the play-doh, and the small tokens that I get to use as rewards. It is such a gift to remind them that they are children, that they CAN manage their emotions, and that it's ok to need something to help them regulate.\r\n\r\nI've had some tougher days and I'll admit, some of these items have helped me too! Reminded me of how important my work is and helped me stay grounded when trouble tries to blow my way. The sheer impact is immeasurable.
