We immediately dove into a hands-on project where they used the materials to design and build models that brought our science lessons to life. One group worked together to create a miniature ecosystem, complete with labeled parts and creative details they could proudly explain to their peers. Seeing their eyes light up as they made connections between what we'd discussed in class and what they were able to build was incredible.\r\n\r\nThe moment the materials were unpacked, students gathered around with big smiles and wide eyes, asking, \"Can we use them today?\" Their curiosity and eagerness reminded me why these resources matter so much—they give students opportunities to explore and learn in new, meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll be using these tools to start a student-led research project where they investigate real-world problems and create visual presentations to share their findings. It took them away from their iPad and gave them an opportunity to read books in their hands. Students were eager to read and learn. They were very grateful for the donation.\r\nReading in the classroom looks like a calm activity with students using flexible seating and taking in the material. Some are not able to read the words yet but are able to identify letters and use that to picture walk. Others are able to fully read chapter books. I am constantly trying to find new books to read the students. \r\nThe students enjoy books which are silly and make them laugh. They enjoy spending time with a friend or book buddy. They get the chance to read to one another and the other person can read to them. Students are always looking for new books to read.
