Fidgets, stress balls, timers, and acupressure rings give students appropriate ways to release energy and stay attentive during instruction and independent work.\r\n\r\nThe availability of snacks has helped students who come to class hungry remain focused and ready to learn, reducing behavior concerns and increasing participation. Organizational supplies such as notebooks and folders allow students to keep their work in one place, increasing responsibility and confidence in their ability to stay organized.\r\n\r\nHeadphones and earmuffs have been especially impactful for students with sensory sensitivities, allowing them to work in a quieter, more comfortable environment. The addition of calming classroom décor has helped create a welcoming space where students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
