The safety vests have become a crucial part of our evacuation drills, empowering teachers to guide students quickly and visibly to safety while providing a reassuring sense of order during stressful moments. The supplies—duct tape, first aid kits, and organized tubs—not only equip our staff to respond effectively, but also allow us to teach students about safety measures and preparedness. These resources are making a real difference, building confidence and a stronger community at CATS in Toppenish.\r\n\r\nYour donations have had an immediate, positive impact on our students and staff. Teachers feel empowered to face unexpected situations, students know what actions and tools are available, and parents feel reassured knowing the school is equipped and ready. The one from last year had broken and they could not read it since it had the hands and numbers. They were so excited to be able to find out what the time was from the classroom (I believe it was for them to figure out when they got out of class). \r\n\r\nThe wooden organizer has allowed me to put papers in for the students to easily access now. But the best item was the container I could keep their cell phones and earbuds locked up during the class. It just made such a difference. They now have a choice for my phone policy. The policy is that they had to give them to me or they had to go to the office and would be written up. Now, they are more comfortable with me holding onto them in a secured location and they get them back at the end of the period. I have used them for their phone, earbuds or both. \r\n\r\nThank you for funding this so that the students have a better way of learning without the technology of their phones in the way.","fullyFundedDate":1755367869671,"projectUrl":"project/focusing-math/9552967/","projectTitle":"Focusing Math","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Frank","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7628272_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723603509100","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7628272"},{"teacherId":6380517,"projectId":9054898,"letterContent":"Thank you for your kindness and generosity. As soon as they saw the setup they fell in love. Students who normally have a difficult time staying still and concentrating can sit on a bean bag and suddenly remain in a silent state. \r\n\r\nGiving them the opportunity to have that space that helps them come down from impatience and frustration they experience has helped immensely. They have enjoyed the space and look forward to it. They have also come in during lunch just to relax and be ready for their next class. \r\n\r\nOur Reset Zone is far from done, the kids are giving me ideas on what to add to make it feel more relaxing. With these new tools, students have been able to engage in more dynamic and varied physical activities that were previously out of reach due to the lack of equipment. The introduction of basketballs and footballs has sparked a renewed interest in team sports, encouraging students to collaborate, communicate, and develop important social skills while getting active. The foam rollers have allowed for a greater focus on recovery, helping students understand the importance of stretching and self-care after physical activity, while the kettlebells offer an opportunity to introduce strength training in a safe and effective manner.\r\n\r\nThese new additions have also created a sense of excitement and pride within our school community. Students who were once hesitant to participate in physical education are now more eager to join in on activities, as the equipment makes the classes feel more engaging and inclusive. The variety of equipment not only allows for a wider range of activities, but it also helps students build confidence and set personal fitness goals. Overall, the generous donations have significantly enriched the P.E. experience for our students, fostering a positive environment where they feel supported in their physical development and encouraged to stay active.","fullyFundedDate":1734537234439,"projectUrl":"project/ca-fitness/8818782/","projectTitle":"CA Fitness","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Gonzalez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-3_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9550385"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_54648","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":151,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":11,"percentLatinx":82,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":75.0,"schoolId":54648,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cats Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cats Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/toppenish-school-district/eagle-high-school/54648"}
