We read the story as a class, talked about the characters and the message of the book, and completed a fun craft connected to the story. The students were excited to participate and enjoyed having an opportunity to connect the story to a creative activity.\r\n\r\nThe Book Giveaway was especially exciting for the students. They were thrilled to receive books that they could read, keep, and share with their families.Providing students with books to keep also helped extend learning beyond the classroom. Instead of the reading experience ending when students left school, they could continue reading and practicing their literacy skills at home. Having books available at home can encourage children to read more often and help them develop positive attitudes toward reading.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this project helped create excitement around books and reading.
