We are using these resources daily during small group instruction and hands on activities, where students can explore ideas, practice new skills, and share their thinking with confidence. One moment that stands out was watching students work together during a lesson, eagerly using the materials to explain their ideas to a partner. Students who are usually hesitant were excited to participate and proud to show what they knew.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their reactions were full of curiosity and excitement. They immediately wanted to touch, explore, and ask questions. It was clear that these resources made learning feel more accessible and engaging. For many of my students, having tools that support visual, hands on, and collaborative learning has made a meaningful difference in how they approach school each day.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher who is now giving back to the same community that helped shape me, this project has been especially meaningful. The next steps for my students include building on these tools during upcoming lessons that focus on deeper thinking, academic conversations, and confidence in sharing ideas. Your support is helping create a classroom where students feel supported, valued, and excited to learn. Thank you for giving my students this opportunity and for being a part of their learning journey.","fullyFundedDate":1762385443364,"projectUrl":"project/lets-make-our-thinking-visible-in-secon/9454000/","projectTitle":"Let’s Make Our Thinking Visible in Second Grade","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Barriga","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9828497_orig.jpg?crop=2952,2952,x0,y334&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1730930222606","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-barriga2"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_107618","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1061,"numTeachers":38,"percentFrplEligible":77,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":3,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":92,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"27.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":76.5,"schoolId":107618,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Roberto & Francisco Jimenez Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Roberto & Francisco Jimenez Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/santa-maria-bonita-school-dist/dr-francisco-robert-jimenez-opening-fall-2015-/107618"}
