These kids have recess at ten and they don't eat until noon. Usually, around 11:30, they begin to feel restless and hungry. It becomes really hard to teach and for them to absorb the information at that time. They start nagging and whining about how they're so hungry. These snack size bags of chips is enough to hold them over til lunch,\r\n\r\nThey get excited to have chips in class and a quick five minute brain break, gets them recharged and rebooted. I am able to teach at that point and push through. They love it and it's a win win for everyone.\r\n\r\nThe next steps would be to prepare them for the state testing which is around the corner.
