I wanted to first open by giving a huge thank you to the supporters and donors who made our DonChella Mental Health Music Festival a success. The small tokens of appreciation did not go unnoticed. By supporting our project we were able to give our students a release from the rigors of testing, school work, and ending the school year on a high positive note. The donations assisted in providing support, community gathering, and expanded leading time for the students and all attendees throughout the community. \r\nThe items that were used from the donors gave our festival the full esthetic it needed for a relaxing comfortable experience. The upgraded 3D printer nozzles, fresh filament, and large-format matte poster paper have allowed my students to bring their ideas to life in powerful new ways. They're now designing and printing custom 3D models—characters, objects, and environments—that reflect their imagination and storytelling skills. At the same time, they've been producing high-quality digital posters to showcase their work in our classroom exhibits and school events. These tools have transformed our classroom into a real-world design lab, where students get to see their visions move from concept to physical creation.\r\n\r\nWhat's most exciting is how this technology is deepening their understanding of design thinking, visual storytelling, and prototyping. Students who once doubted their creative abilities are now confidently pitching ideas, refining their work, and proudly sharing it with others. One student recently told me, \"It feels like I'm actually building something for the world to see.\" That kind of confidence and engagement is priceless—and it's because of you. Many of our students come from communities with limited access to these kinds of tools, so your support is not just funding materials—it's expanding futures.\r\n\r\nThank you for believing in our young creators. The green screen setup, classroom speakers, production tools, and even the mini vac (a classroom lifesaver!) have elevated our space into a hands-on creative lab where students are diving into real-time production using Unreal Engine. This isn't just about technology—it's about access, creativity, and collaboration. Our students are now stepping into digital worlds they've designed themselves, filming green screen scenes, syncing audio, and creating interactive shorts with other CTE programs across campus. These tools are bridging disciplines—game design, animation, video production, performing arts—and creating a shared space where students can build together.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students the most is that it feels real. They're using the same workflows that professionals use in film and gaming studios. And for many of them, especially those from underrepresented communities, this is the first time they've had access to such cutting-edge tools. One student said, \"It's like we're making a movie in the future.\" This project is helping them develop technical skills and soft skills—teamwork, problem-solving, communication—while building a portfolio they can be proud of.\r\n\r\n-MoJO\r\nmojocreative1@gmail.com","fullyFundedDate":1743217649789,"projectUrl":"project/press-start/9200590/","projectTitle":"Press Start","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. MoJo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9973629"},{"teacherId":1418588,"projectId":9206650,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support!
