We've been focusing on team-building activities, and allowing students to play games together has been a powerful way to strengthen collaboration, communication, and mutual respect. These resources have helped us create a more positive classroom culture and a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable engaging with one another.\r\nThe buzzers have been a hit during team challenges and review games—they add excitement and encourage friendly competition while reinforcing academic content. Students also enjoy using the games and magnetic tiles during downtime, which keeps the classroom atmosphere lively and constructive. Uno games, in particular, have become a favorite—full of laughter, strategy, and spirited fun!\r\nHow did your students react when they first saw the materials?\r\nWhen the students saw the big box arrive, they were instantly curious. Once I explained what was inside, who donated it, and why it was gifted to our classroom, their faces lit up like it was Christmas morning. They couldn't wait to dive in and start playing with their table groups. It was a joyful moment that truly highlighted how much these resources mean to them.\r\nWhat are the next steps for your students?\r\nWe're excited to continue integrating games into our daily lessons. Our next step is to use these tools to support leadership and peer collaboration. Students will take turns leading game-based activities, helping to build confidence and responsibility. We'll also be incorporating more structured team challenges that promote problem-solving and critical thinking—all while maintaining the fun, inclusive spirit that these games have brought to our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1753369566194,"projectUrl":"project/play-to-learn-integrating-games-into-cl/9374606/","projectTitle":"Play to Learn: Integrating Games into Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Martinez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10041857_orig.jpg?crop=1856,1856,x0,y235&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1753391462134","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10041857"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_8111","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1000,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":58,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":28,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":57,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 9","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":86.7,"schoolId":8111,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Deer Park High School - North Campus on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Deer Park High School - North Campus","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/deer-park-independent-school-district/deer-park-high-school-n-campus/8111"}
