Through the generosity of donors, my students now have access to a rich variety of engaging and age-appropriate books that spark their imagination and foster a love for reading. What was once a limited collection has transformed into a vibrant classroom library where every child can find a story that speaks to them.\r\n\r\nThis project has not only improved students' reading skills, but also strengthened their confidence and enthusiasm for learning. Students are more eager to read independently, participate in discussions, and explore new ideas through books. It has also created a warm and inviting learning environment where literacy is celebrated every day.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, this library has given my students a sense of ownership and pride. They now see themselves as readers, dreamers, and lifelong learners. The impact of this project goes beyond academics it has opened doors to creativity, curiosity, and endless possibilities for every child in my classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1767199556394,"projectUrl":"project/a-library-of-dreams-for-2nd-grade-reader/9675758/","projectTitle":"A Library of Dreams for 2nd Grade Readers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Tagupa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10238426_orig.jpg?crop=200,200,x0,y50&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1768956699454","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10238426"},{"teacherId":9497852,"projectId":10093471,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our project, \"Listening to Learn: Headphones for a Calm Classroom.\" Your generosity has made a meaningful difference in our daily learning environment. With access to individual headphones, students can now fully engage with digital lessons, audiobooks, and interactive learning programs without distractions. This technology allows each child to focus at their own pace, replay instructions when needed, and build independence in their learning, something that was much more challenging before.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for students has been having their own set of headphones. They feel a sense of ownership and responsibility, and they love being able to clearly hear stories, directions, and educational content. Our classroom has become noticeably calmer and more focused, especially during small group rotations and independent work time. Students who were once easily distracted are now more attentive and confident because they can concentrate on their tasks without surrounding noise.\r\n\r\nI have also seen a remarkable impact on students who benefit from extra support, including those who are developing language skills or who need a quieter environment to stay engaged. These students are participating more, completing tasks with greater confidence, and showing pride in their work. One special moment that stood out was watching a group of students work together to build and solve challenges using the toys sharing ideas, taking turns, and encouraging one another. Without screens, they were fully engaged, talking, laughing, and problem-solving as a team. These moments have helped strengthen friendships and social skills, especially for students who sometimes struggle with communication or cooperation.\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement. They immediately gathered around, eager to explore and ask questions. Many of them said things like, \"Can we play this together?\" or \"This looks fun!\" It was clear that they felt valued and happy knowing these toys were meant just for them.\r\nBecause of your support, our next steps include using these toys intentionally to support social-emotional learning. Students will continue practicing teamwork, creativity, and imagination through guided play and collaborative projects. We are also connecting these experiences to classroom lessons by encouraging students to reflect, talk about how they solved problems together, and write or draw about their play experiences.\r\nThank you again for helping provide screen-free opportunities that allow my village students to play, imagine, and build friendships.
