The tissues, Clorox wipes, headphones, desktop fans, and pencils have all become important tools that help my students focus and feel comfortable while learning.\r\n\r\nThe students were so excited when the boxes arrived! They eagerly helped unpack everything—especially the new headphones, which they now use during design software lessons and online research projects. Having enough headphones for everyone has made our lessons run much more smoothly and allowed students to concentrate on their individual work without distractions.\r\n\r\nThe classroom fans have also been a game-changer during warm afternoons, keeping the space comfortable so students can stay engaged and creative. The cleaning supplies help us maintain a fresh and welcoming environment, which the students take pride in.\r\n\r\nRight now, my students are working on an interior design project where they create a presentation board showcasing a color scheme and furniture layout. The pencils and headphones are being used daily as they sketch their ideas and research design inspiration. Many immediately began brainstorming how they could transform challenging biology concepts into visual art. What began as a creative outlet quickly turned into deep discussions about protein synthesis, protein structure, and Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. Students were not just painting; they were reteaching the content to one another through color, design, and symbolism.\r\n\r\nAs tiles began to fill the ceiling, the room transformed into a gallery of student learning. Several students pointed to the artwork and shared how the visuals helped them remember the steps of protein synthesis or recall the significance of Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The ceiling has become a permanent review tool, sparking conversations during lessons and giving underclassmen a glimpse of what is ahead in AP Biology.\r\n\r\nThis project has had a lasting impact on our classroom culture. Students take pride in leaving their mark for future classes, and the ceiling tiles now serve as both an academic resource and a celebration of creativity. Because of your support, we were able to replace non-functional stools with these amazing chairs. The chairs have provided a safe place for students to come together and collaborate. Instead of searching for a stool that wasn't broken in order to sit down at the collaboration tables, they know that there will always be solid stable chairs there now for them to use. \r\n\r\nThe chairs are so comfortable and solid the students were very excited!
