These are the youngest babies I've ever taught, I changed schools and districts to take this position. All I knew was when I was thinking about my new students, I thought of my son when he was their age. This helped me in creating my wish list for this project. Things like the flexible seating, sensory bands for their chairs, and wonderful, popular titles like the Dog Man books. \r\n\r\nThe books so far have been extremely well received. I put them out after school one day, before we even went to morning meeting almost all of them were snatched up and put in their book bins for independent reading. They were all so thrilled. As for some of the other things the fidget bands for chairs and the flexible seating have been a life saver. I have one kiddo in particular, who struggles really badly with sitting still and staying on task. He put his band on his chair and commented \"Mrs. Kempner, this feels SO GOOD!\" Which of course is EXACTLY why I wanted them. \r\n\r\nI cannot thank you enough for your generosity and thoughtfulness to helping my class become the cozy haven I dreamt of for these kiddos. We will stay organized, engaged and able to work hard as well as learn a lot because of these things.
