They are always on the move. The resources in this project helped cover a little bit of every math domain, which was delivered just in time for test prep rotations! We have utilized many of these materials already. The cards have been used to play multiplication clash (think war with multiplication facts) - I have never had a more requested game. I have 2 students who request to play EVERY DAY! We have used the 10 sided dice to help review multi-digit division and multi-digit multiplication. We used the droppers that came with the beakers to test our calculations from a 3-Act task to see how many drops of water fit on a penny before spilling over. Next we're going to use the measuring cups for a baking project before the school year ends so that I can introduce the class to one of my favorite hobbies and prove to them that yes, they will actually use fractions in their life outside of the classroom. The clocks are going to help us finally learn how to independently tell time so that they can utilize the schedule on the board instead of asking me how much longer until lunch. I wish I could send you a video to show you how alive a classroom can be when provided with these types of materials. Thank you for providing us with tools we can use to better understand math and to make it fun! As someone who has always loved math, my teacher heart is full when I can provide these types of learning experiences for my students, particularly for those who don't love math.......yet.","fullyFundedDate":1744195986513,"projectUrl":"project/bringing-math-to-life/9224460/","projectTitle":"Bringing Math to Life","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Morrissey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4036709_orig.jpg?crop=1559,1560,x0,y244&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723773278223","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/thankfulinthird"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_26083","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":427,"numTeachers":17,"percentFrplEligible":65,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":36,"percentIndigenous":1,"percentLatinx":44,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"25.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":81.8,"schoolId":26083,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about D.H.
