It is very important to me to be able to provide my students with reading materials that spark imagination, excite adventure, and build a continuous pull towards reading, because it's a daunting task to even get students to want to pick up a book and try to read it. Your donation has sparked interest. When I read off the titles of the books to my class, so many hands went up to be the first to read the book. In the evenings, I often read a story to the students before they leave for the evening. My favorite book right now is Interrupting Chicken! I read it to the students, and now when they are interrupting, I call out Interrupting Chicken, LOL! The students understand its meaning. I am beyond overjoyed at your donation and the excitement I get from the kids to want to read. Again, thank you for your continued support; it has truly opened up a door of unlimited possibilities to explore unknown adventures, and the students, as well as myself, are reading beyond boundaries.","fullyFundedDate":1746787145969,"projectUrl":"project/reading-beyond-boundaries/9235933/","projectTitle":"Reading Beyond Boundaries","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Strong","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1559452_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1468976893371","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1559452"},{"teacherId":6294189,"projectId":9383698,"letterContent":"Our cozy corner has truly transformed reading time in our classroom! Students now have a comfortable, inviting space where they can curl up with a book, and it has been so motivating for them to read more. The day we added new books to the collection, the excitement was incredible—students were huddled around, eagerly flipping through the pages and making plans about which book they would read first. One student even said, \"This feels like our own library!\"\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments was during independent reading: I looked around and every student was completely engaged, some even whispering to a partner about what they were reading. It was such a joyful reminder of how powerful books can be when students have access to them in a welcoming space.\r\n\r\nRight now, our class is beginning a book talk project, where students choose a book from the cozy corner and prepare a short presentation to recommend it to their peers. This has sparked so much conversation and excitement—they're not only reading, but also sharing and encouraging others to explore new stories.\r\n\r\nWe are so grateful for these resources. They've given my students not just books, but opportunities to grow as readers, thinkers, and friends who share a love for learning.","fullyFundedDate":1749076542946,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-corners-big-imaginations/9383698/","projectTitle":"Cozy Corners, Big Imaginations!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Maddox","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6294189_orig.jpg?crop=957,957,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1669751546415","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6294189"},{"teacherId":3865084,"projectId":9006279,"letterContent":"Dorothy I Height Elementary School in Columbus, Georgia wants to thank you for your kind and generous book donations.
