These materials have quickly become a favorite during STEM time and center rotations, giving students the chance to problem-solve, share ideas, and strengthen their teamwork skills.\r\nThe reactions were priceless—lots of wide eyes and gasps! Many students immediately started brainstorming what they could build. They were especially drawn to the magnetic sets, excitedly connecting rods and tiles to see how tall they could go. A few students who are usually quieter jumped right in and started collaborating with their peers, which was wonderful to see.\r\nStudents will continue to use the building sets as a way to explore, create, and collaborate with one another. Your donations have made a significant difference for my students, and I am deeply grateful for the tools and resources you have helped provide.\r\n\r\nThe new classroom resources have truly transformed both organization and student engagement. The chair storage pockets gave every child a personal space to keep books, folders, and supplies neatly tucked away. This cut down on clutter and saved us precious minutes each day because students no longer waste time searching through backpacks.\r\n\r\nThe electric pencil sharpener has also been a big improvement. It is quick, durable, and reliable, which means students can sharpen their pencils in seconds without interrupting the lesson flow. Having supplies ready at all times helps keep learning smooth and focused.\r\n\r\nSturdy plastic folders with prongs have made organization easier for ongoing assignments and homework. Students can take responsibility for their work, and it's simpler for me to check in on their progress. Our bulletin board letters and space-themed posters added excitement and a professional look to the classroom, while also sparking curiosity about space—perfect for tying into our STEM activities.\r\n\r\nThe pencil trays and supply caddies created a system where students can grab what they need quickly and independently. Likewise, the class jobs chart has given students a sense of responsibility and pride in contributing to the classroom community.\r\n\r\nThe biggest hit, without question, has been the lap tables. Students love the flexibility and independence they provide. Whether working on writing, STEM projects, or partner activities, the lap desks give them a comfortable and portable workspace. I've noticed that students are more focused and motivated when they get to choose where and how to sit while learning.\r\n\r\nAdditional essentials like composition notebooks and the bulk pack of pre-sharpened pencils ensured that students always had the tools they needed to succeed. Finally, the STEM building kits have become a favorite during centers and indoor recess. They encourage creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving while making learning hands-on and fun.\r\n\r\nOverall, these resources have improved classroom efficiency, boosted organization, and created a more engaging and student-centered environment. The lap tables in particular have brought joy, comfort, and focus to our daily routines, while everything else has worked together to support student independence and make our learning space shine.\r\n\r\nThank you again for helping to make this possible. Your kindness and support directly impact my students every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1757358113602,"projectUrl":"project/supplies-smiles-second-grade-style/9368877/","projectTitle":"Supplies, Smiles & Second Grade Style!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Cascasan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7066070_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1748107746987","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7066070"},{"teacherId":8468503,"projectId":9289918,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our classroom looks and feels brand new! One student even said, \"It feels like a real learning place now!\"\r\n\r\nThe rainbow turn-in trays have been a huge hit—students love having a clear, colorful system for handing in their assignments. They now take more responsibility for keeping their work organized, and it has cut down on confusion and misplaced papers. The clipboard holder has also been a quiet game changer for me. Instead of hunting around for materials in the middle of a lesson, I can grab what I need in seconds, keeping lessons flowing smoothly.","fullyFundedDate":1746529291405,"projectUrl":"project/where-learning-looks-and-feels-amazing/9289918/","projectTitle":"Where Learning Looks and Feels Amazing","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Underwood-Johnson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8468503_orig.jpg?crop=1242,1242,x0,y534&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1652107137747","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8468503"},{"teacherId":7066070,"projectId":9368748,"letterContent":"Our Classroom is Buzzing with Excitement—Thanks to You!\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity, our classroom was transformed into a space full of joy, creativity, and calm—even on days when we can't go outside for recess. Recently, we experienced several days of bad weather, and instead of feeling stuck indoors, my students were thrilled to explore all the new learning tools and games you helped provide.\r\n\r\nJoyful Reactions & Meaningful Moments\r\nThe moment I introduced the new materials, the classroom lit up with excitement! Students immediately gravitated toward the magnetic tiles, STEM rods, and pattern blocks, eagerly collaborating to build structures and patterns. These hands-on materials not only gave them a creative outlet but also encouraged teamwork and problem-solving.\r\n\r\nOur new bulk game bundle and fidget-friendly puzzles quickly became a hit in the calming corner. These tools provided a perfect outlet for students to regulate their energy, take mindful breaks, and return to learning more focused and ready to engage.\r\n\r\nBoosting Learning & Organization\r\nWith a classpack of over 200 Crayola thin markers, students have been able to fully express themselves in journal writing and center activities without worrying about sharing limited supplies. The addition of word search books was perfect for early finishers and literacy centers—students love the challenge and are building vocabulary and focus at the same time.\r\n\r\nWhat's Next?\r\nWe're continuing to use these materials during indoor recess, center rotations, and SEL moments throughout the day. The organization and variety have given my students a greater sense of independence and choice, which is helping them develop stronger social-emotional skills and responsibility.\r\n\r\nThank you for making our classroom a place where learning feels like play—even on rainy days. Many students come through our Student Services Team (SST) or 504 team process and we discover there are sensory issues that may be helped with noise cancelling headphones. As the need arises for these headphones, they will be given to students who need them. \r\n\r\nOur chewing-jewelry (chewelry) has already benefitted two students in our lower grades. Both students have Autism and have been very excited to utilize these items. One uses this sensory device to self-sooth or calm down when upset from sensory overload, and the other just likes to chew things, which means this saves that student's pencils and other supplies while also keeping them safe.\r\n\r\nBy far, the MOST popular item with my students has been the textured sensory stickers. These have benefitted our upper grade students the most. Several students have asked for a second one so they could have them in multiple places for self-soothing during anxious times in class. One even asked for one for his twin! My small group students have utilized them when dealing with frustration, and my ADHD and/or anxiety kiddos have used them to help focus in class.\r\n\r\nWe wanted to thank you again for your generous support in making this project happen, so that all students can find and use new coping skills and items to help them find success in the classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1738762608326,"projectUrl":"project/sensing-joy-nurturing-minds-one-sensor/8884476/","projectTitle":"Sensing Joy: Nurturing Minds, One Sensory Item at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Byford","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp1791508_orig.jpg?crop=900,900,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729097335325","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1791508"},{"teacherId":8468503,"projectId":8663002,"letterContent":"Thanks to the incredible support of our donors, my classroom has been transformed into a more inclusive, engaging, and focused learning space.
