Students will be paired up to create their own living environment. The addition of the Bluetooth jellyfish light was amazing as my students tend to stand in the calming area and just watch as the jellyfish bounce up and down to the current in the water. These alphabet learning centers are a way for my students to learn alphabet sounds through practice. They also encourage letter sequencing and writing. The wipe-off alphabet boards are a favorite because of their bright colors and the ability to write, clean-up and try again. The textile letters were another favorite as my students are very sensory aware and enjoy the feeling of the letter as they use their finger to trace each individual letter in the alphabet. I have been able to decorate the board and add magnetic holders for markers, books, and papers, making instruction more organized and accessible.\r\n\r\nThe bubble timers have been a wonderful addition to our calming space, giving students a clear visual cue to help them understand transitions and know when it is time to move on. The noise-canceling headphones have already been extremely helpful for a few of my students with autism who struggle with loud noises during assemblies or fire drills.
