In our classroom, tools like the emotional stuffies, games, Lego bases, and fidget sensory tubes have had a meaningful impact on student growth and regulation. Emotional stuffies have given students a safe and comforting way to express and manage their feelings, helping them build emotional awareness and vocabulary while reducing stress. Games have provided structured opportunities to practice cooperation, patience, and problem-solving, all while strengthening peer relationships in a fun and engaging way.\r\n\r\nHands-on tools such as Lego bases and fidget sensory tubes also have played an important role in supporting focus and creativity. Lego building encourages teamwork, perseverance, and imaginative expression, while fidget sensory tubes allow students to release energy and self-regulate without disrupting the group. They have loved the bases as ways to display their creations in our \"Lego Museum.\" Together, these resources continue to foster a supportive, inclusive environment where students feel safe, connected, and better able to engage in learning.","fullyFundedDate":1750256210080,"projectUrl":"project/support-emotional-regulation/9312125/","projectTitle":"Support Emotional Regulation","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Emily","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9295372_orig.jpg?crop=1960,1960,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695336064448","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9295372"},{"teacherId":9899831,"projectId":9066509,"letterContent":"Thank you for the donation to purchase new equipment for PE. It's surprising. Huge. The experience of working with you was pleasant and uplifting, the use of our cases is significantly practical, and, perhaps most importantly, the evidence of students' ownership of the guitars inside is vividly apparent.\r\n\r\nPrior to receiving this grant from Donors Choose, I had purchased a class set of guitars. In our small music room with no storage closet, we need additional support to purchase adequate in-room storage. The students absolutely love playing Zingo, working on puzzles, and engaging with the new games you provided. The addition of the Buddha board and sensory toys has truly transformed our space, making it feel warm and cozy, which is essential for our students' comfort and well-being. \r\nWhen I introduced the new materials, their excitement was infectious! They immediately wanted to dive in and play with everything. It's heartwarming to see how these items have fostered a safe and nurturing environment.
