I use slides daily in my lessons and now I am able to have the screen at the students' eye level and move and manipulate things with ease. Students are able to slide objects and spin wheels and be more interactive when we are learning.\r\n\r\nMy students are looking forward to using this smart board as a white board and drawing more \"free hand\" on the screen. \r\n\r\nHaving the ability for even a student to switch from our document camera, to our slides, to a brain break, and back to lesson at hand has helped me to be able to move and help others while we continue learning.","fullyFundedDate":1755290065177,"projectUrl":"project/create-the-opportunities-to-be-innovativ/9255590/","projectTitle":"Create the Opportunities to Be Innovative","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Karki","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2609186_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1727542910396","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/dkarki"},{"teacherId":1641918,"projectId":9191207,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting my classroom by providing the funds to purchase a SMART board. Many people refer to a SMART board as an interactive board because it is a tool that allows teachers and students to interact with technology that a projector does not provide. It has many features that helps me teach new concepts in an interactive way while keeping my students attention. \r\n\r\nThe SMART board has given me the opportunity to engage my students, creating a fun and new approach to learning. In writing, I am able to provide visuals for students to refer to while teaching punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, paragraphing and much more. In history and science, I am able to provide visuals that can be manipulated on the SMART board to better understand a variety of concepts. In addition, in math, having the students share their thinking while using the SMART board is fun and exciting which mean more engagement. Another bonus is that it saves me time and keeps my lessons organized because I can prepare slides before school even starts.\r\n\r\nThanks again, you have helped make our learning environment more fun to teach and learn.","fullyFundedDate":1746539791028,"projectUrl":"project/smart-board-for-smart-kids/9191207/","projectTitle":"Smart Board for Smart Kids","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Young","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1641918_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1469468768913","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/1641918"},{"teacherId":4418906,"projectId":7017035,"letterContent":"We have thoroughly enjoyed our poetry books! Once everything arrived, we dug right in! Our decodable books are now organized by specific phonological skill families, rather than a simple (sometimes arbitrary) a-z system. This setup also gives students more confidence in choosing their books too, as the new skill groups do away with the confusion that can be associated with an a-z system. Lastly, the skill group setup is intended to remove any stigma associated with what reading level a student is at. They are numbered purely for organization's sake, but the numbers are not associated with a difficulty level. Some students are working on blends, some are working on digraphs, and some are working on short vowel sounds, but everyone is working on the skills that match their needs most! \r\n\r\nThe level of engagement that these kids have displayed since we got our new setup \r\nhas been truly joyful to see. As I walk around to read with my students, I consistently see them tapping out sounds, asking questions, excitedly showing interesting pages to their partners, and most importantly, showing excitement as they strive to learn new skills! We couldn't have done this without your support, and we are incredibly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1738085455593,"projectUrl":"project/logical-literacy-layout/8990626/","projectTitle":"Logical Literacy Layout","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Groh","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9864338"},{"teacherId":2609186,"projectId":8796913,"letterContent":"I have to say that I am beyond humbled by the generous giving to this project.
