We have been using the donations as, \"happy packs.\" Whenever a student is feeling extra short tempered or very unmotivated to continue learning throughout the day, the student picks a snack and recharges. We then come back to the issue or learning lesson and learn comfortably and successfully. For example, with my 4th graders i open a homework table of up to 5 and offer a snack to each of my students. I allow them to eat that snack to rest and prepare for homework activity and the students bond with each other while they enjoy their snack as well. Once there snack is completed, we start helping with homework problems and sheets and my students feel a positive environment and a good experience when completing their homework. When my students saw our snack donations they were so happy and giggly. They said things as \"wow! You're the best teacher ever i wish you could be in all my classes everyday.\" They also said, \"I love doing homework here because these snacks are so good and they help so much when having to do our work.\" Thank you for providing these experiences for my students learning and life. For our next project I want my students to learn the magic of taste buds and I want to be able to hold a science lesson with snacks and goodies to make students aware of the culinary world and them wanting to expand their palette as they grow up. So many students are reliant on their comfort food and I want to be able to give students a platform where they have the ability to be free with trying new things.","fullyFundedDate":1763494148849,"projectUrl":"project/stopping-hunger-one-student-at-a-time/9883979/","projectTitle":"Stopping Hunger One Student at a Time","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Abigail","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10088143_orig.jpg?crop=3000,3000,x0,y630&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763524617058","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/abigailsadventure-club"},{"teacherId":10088143,"projectId":9695430,"letterContent":"I as supervisor have been juggling for problem solvers because there has been bullying behavior issues that my students have been experiencing through one another. Bullying is something our students know is frowned upon but it is still very much alive in the hallways unfortunately. I used the donation of treasure box toys to be a kindness reward system for my students who have been naturally kind to others and stop bullying behavior when in action. I have teacher aid helpers who witness the kindness actions happen when other students start fights or get hurt by accident. My students then pick an item from the donation and other students start to get aware of the sense kindness is better than reacting like a bully, it even comes with a toy. Once my students saw the toys, squishies, fidgets and stickers they screamed and jumped with joy seeing all the fun prizes. This did help my students with being more positive around each other when in different situations. I have been seeing more of my students happy to share the news of one friend helping another, or one friend stopping another from crying because they chose to be a friend that day. I would love to have some more items that get my 4th and 5th graders interested in joining the mind set of being a buddy not a bully. My students love crystals, bracelets kits and baby toy accessories. For my next project I want to teach my students culinary basics for summer. I want to teach them how to make ice cream from scratch, how to make bake a pizza and more. Thank you for caring about us as a school and helping the children succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1761053880913,"projectUrl":"project/adventure-club-treasure-box/9695430/","projectTitle":"Adventure Club Treasure Box","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Abigail","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10088143_orig.jpg?crop=3000,3000,x0,y630&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1763524617058","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/abigailsadventure-club"},{"teacherId":1992786,"projectId":8727591,"letterContent":"My students look forward to snack time everyday. Some of my students would dread not having a snack from home and now they're excited to see what options are available in the classroom. This excitement gives them another thing to look forward to at school. They also have more energy to focus at school. Sharing these snacks with our classroom community has also taught them to contribute to sharing as well. Some of my students have started bringing snacks to share with their classmates.
