Because of your generosity, my third graders now have access to healthy snacks that truly make a difference in their school day.\r\n\r\nMy students come to school eager to learn, but for many of them, hunger can get in the way of staying focused. Having snacks available has helped bridge that gap. When students know they can grab a quick snack, they're more relaxed, attentive, and ready to participate. I see it during lessons—students are more engaged during reading, more patient during math, and more confident when sharing their ideas.\r\n\r\nSomething as simple as a granola bar or crackers has made a big impact. The snacks help my students stay energized, but they also send an important message: they are cared for. That feeling of support goes a long way in helping them feel safe, valued, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has helped create a classroom where students can focus on learning instead of worrying about being hungry. Some of them liked body socks, while others liked the weighted vest. Having a variety of sensory equipment available in the classroom for them to use when their body needs sensory input is any educator's dream come true. They might not need to use it every day, but they all know they have access to the equipment when they need them. We all have good days and bad days in our lives, our students now have tools to calm their body and mind down when their body needs sensory input.\r\n\r\nNow, we will develop sensory area/room for them to have access all day long. My students will be excited when they start using the new charging station in our classroom. \r\n\r\nWhole group instruction benefits all students, but there is a need to differentiate instruction for each child. One of the activities students do during their small group rotations is ipad center. My district recommends for my students to spend at least forty-five minutes per week completing iready lessons. Prior to this my students use ipads every other day. Since we are expected to use technology daily in the classroom, we needed a charging station to charge the ipads for daily use. Before my students need to share a charging station with another kinder class. Some of the charging cables no longer work correctly, which meant some ipads won't be charged that day. \r\n\r\nMost importantly, all devices are now always ready to be used. Now my students' devices can be stored and charged in the classroom. Students can easily inform me that their device is low in battery and are eager to use the docking station to charge their own ipads. The sheet protectors are used for small group time.
