When we had it finally place on the playground we had many more response from the children.\r\nThe first child that seen it said, Where in the world did the frog come from? Other children called it a turtle, dinosaur, not one of them said a Caterpillar . One child crawled under and yelled its a butterfly. \r\nAlthough everyone wanted a chance to climb on it. My students were so excited to open up the package and find the Counting Bears with Matching Bowls and Spinners. They immediately wanted to open the new materials and get to work. \r\n\r\nMy students first began by sorting the bears by color. Then they asked me about what the spinners were for. Once I explained the different ways that they could use the spinners, they didn't want to stop using these materials. The children were so excited to be able to spin the spinner, shout out the numbers, then count out the bears. \r\n\r\nNext, I plan to make spinners that go up to the numbers 10 and 20. This will push them to go beyond the numbers 5 and 6. I also plan to teach the children how to graph with the bears. This will strengthen their mathematical concepts by teaching them about using simple comparison and ordinal terms to describe findings.","fullyFundedDate":1759527850049,"projectUrl":"project/incorporating-math-in-every-area-of-thei/9743525/","projectTitle":"Incorporating Math in Every Area of Their Lives!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Randi","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6339281_orig.jpg?crop=524,524,x214,y22&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1758663465074","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6339281"},{"teacherId":4952251,"projectId":9232401,"letterContent":"Thank you for the Books!
