The students thoughtfully decided to save the owl pellet dissection for state testing week. They wanted something meaningful and exciting to look forward to after working so hard on their assessments. I was incredibly proud of their maturity and planning!\r\n\r\nDuring testing week, students will step into the role of real scientists—carefully dissecting owl pellets, identifying bones, reconstructing skeletons, and drawing evidence-based conclusions about an owl's diet and the flow of energy through an ecosystem.
