These may seem small, but they make a big difference. Hungry students struggle to focus, and a comfortable space encourages open conversation. We have been able to do small group interventions on an as needed basis as well as create an ongoing regular Study Skills Group and increased our GSA participation with more groups on the way! Students were so excited to have these additional resources and feel more comfortable accessing the supports we can offer.\r\n\r\nWe have a regulation room with our new fridge that has been able to keep food cold for student let pot lucks for groups like GSA as well as offer fresh water and keep other items cold to support students with anxiety, a safe space for their LGBTQAI+ identity, post secondary planning with FAFSA workshops and events for other postsecondary pathways, and allow students to be able to learn and practice coping skills.\r\n\r\nTogether, you have helped students build strong relationships, develop life skills, and explore their future possibilities. With your help, we can created a space where every student feels valued and empowered. This impacted most of our school, including about 10% who attend our GSA and about 50% of our population using our Regulation Room space (which is used for regulation breaks and small groups).","fullyFundedDate":1723468116118,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-futures-together-small-groups-f/8613560/","projectTitle":"Fueling Futures Together: Small Groups for All","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kat","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9370458_orig.jpg?crop=810,810,x0,y135&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1700087665231","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9370458"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_48922","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":216,"numTeachers":21,"percentFrplEligible":66,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":1,"percentWhite":57,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":34,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":43.6,"schoolId":48922,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Colorado's Finest High School of Choice on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Colorado's Finest High School of Choice","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/colorado/englewood-school-district-1/colorados-finest-alternative-high-school/48922"}
