The button maker, Cricut Maker, and green space for podcasting instantly became the stars of our classroom. The energy was contagious—students were buzzing with ideas and ready to create. It's been amazing watching them take ownership of their learning, turning curiosity into real, hands-on projects.\r\n\r\nOne of my favorite moments came from our Rosey Reader Program. Students used the green space to record podcasts of themselves reading stories aloud for younger students. Hearing their own voices played back made them beam with pride. They weren't just practicing reading—they were becoming role models. To go along with the program, students designed and made Cougar Companion buttons with the button maker and Cricut Maker. They proudly wear them when they visit younger classrooms to read together. It's such a simple thing, but those buttons mean so much to them—they represent leadership, kindness, and belonging.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our makerspace has become a place where students feel empowered to create and connect. They're learning that their ideas matter, their voices have power, and their creativity can make a difference in our school community. The moment our students saw the system set up for the first time, their eyes lit up with amazement and curiosity. Many had never seen anything like it before, and their excitement was contagious. They immediately began asking questions, eager to understand how plants could grow without soil and how they could take part in caring for them.\r\n\r\nSince then, the hydroponic system has become a centerpiece of our learning environment. Students are fascinated by how quickly they can see growth happening—watching tiny seeds sprout into vibrant greens almost before their eyes.
