Unfortunately, I could not purchase copies of the book requested, however, I looked for other areas to develop within my curriculum. With the funds, I purchased copies of Code Name Verity. Your generosity has allowed my classroom to transform into a space of deep discussion, critical thinking, and meaningful engagement with literature and history. As my students read the novel, they are exploring complex ethical and moral dilemmas, making connections to natural rights philosophy, and applying their knowledge from their recently completed World History class. For many, this book has been an eye-opening experience, helping them understand the realities of war, sacrifice, and friendship in ways that textbooks alone could never achieve.\r\n\r\nReading in my classroom has become an interactive and reflective process. Students keep reading journals to track their thoughts, questions, and connections to philosophy and history, which then fuel our class discussions. It has been especially rewarding to see reluctant readers fully engaged in the novel, eager to share their insights. Those with a passion for history have been particularly invested, excitedly drawing parallels between the novel's setting and historical events they've studied. This book has not only strengthened their reading and analytical skills but has also fostered empathy and a deeper understanding of human resilience and morality.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has made a lasting impact on my students, sparking curiosity and engagement in a way that will stay with them beyond the classroom.
