These resources have had an immediate and meaningful impact in our classroom. Students are using the LEGOs daily while working with partners to build letters, spell their names, and create houses and other imaginative designs. One especially exciting moment was watching students collaborate to build their names letter by letter, checking each other's work and celebrating when they finished. Through play-based learning, students are strengthening fine motor skills, early literacy, creativity, and teamwork.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the LEGO® materials, their faces lit up with excitement. They were eager to explore, build, and share their ideas with classmates. Many students who are usually quiet became enthusiastic participants, proudly explaining their creations and working together to solve small building challenges. The hands-on nature of the LEGOs has helped students stay engaged and motivated while learning important foundational skills.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, students will continue using the LEGOs to support literacy and math lessons by building sight words, practicing letter sounds, creating story settings, and designing structures that connect to our classroom themes. Your generosity has provided our students with joyful learning experiences and opportunities to grow academically and socially. We are using these resources daily as students work in small groups to design, build, and code solutions to challenges. One of the most powerful moments so far was watching students collaborate to problem-solve when their designs didn't work as planned—adjusting their code, redesigning their builds, and encouraging one another through the process. These materials have allowed students to think critically, communicate clearly, and take ownership of their learning in ways that traditional materials cannot.\r\nWhen the students first saw the LEGO® Education kits, their excitement was immediate and contagious. They were eager to explore, ask questions, and get started right away. Many students who are usually hesitant to take academic risks quickly became confident leaders within their groups. The hands-on nature of the materials helped all learners feel successful, and students were proud to see their ideas come to life through coding and design.\r\nAs we continue this project, students will build on these foundational skills by tackling more complex challenges that require deeper coding, redesigning solutions to meet specific needs, and reflecting on how their designs can improve. Your support has given students a meaningful glimpse into real-world problem solving and STEM learning, and it has created an environment where curiosity, creativity, and collaboration thrive.
