My students and I have been using many of the materials already. My students have been using the dry erase markers for math. They use them to practice writing numbers, writing number sentences, and drawing pictures to show sets of numbers, one more, and one less. They also use the markers to practice writing their names. They have been using the dry erase whiteboard clipboards for letter formation and spelling practice. They have been practicing sounding out CVC words and writing them on their boards. They also use the clipboards for around the room activities. For example, we are currently in a shapes unit and the students used the boards to hold their paper for a shape hunt. We use the noise tracker during literacy centers to keep their sound level under control. They use the pencils for letter formation and number formation practice as well as spelling practice and math work sheets. They use the glue sticks for school rule sorts, letter sound sorts, and health sorts. They use the blue and red crayons in math to show two parts of a whole for number partners. The rest of the supplies will be used shortly. Again thank you so much. I hope you will consider contributing to future projects for my classroom. I hope to make a project soon for literacy centers to support letter identification, letter sounds, and beginning sounds. Stay tuned.","fullyFundedDate":1752671541688,"projectUrl":"project/write-and-erase-supplies-for-learning/9329472/","projectTitle":"Write and Erase- Supplies for Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Riordan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/rebeccahriordan"},{"teacherId":2052529,"projectId":9389253,"letterContent":"My students were so excited to get this beautiful magazine about our learning. The images are clear and beautiful. The themes fall right in line with our Literacy and Social Studies learning as well as Science. \r\nGetting the magazine and learning with it was exciting on it's own. When they realized their name was on thier magazine and that they could keep thiers and take it home it was like Christmas - they were so excited. They folded them so neatly and carefully put them in their red folders to take home and share with their brothers and sisters, and parents. \r\nThank you for your generosity and providing such a wonderful academic experience for my class and for the other 2 PreK classes at our school.","fullyFundedDate":1755568004733,"projectUrl":"project/my-big-world/9389253/","projectTitle":"My Big World","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Harp","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2052529_orig.jpg?crop=587,587,x0,y19&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1672889735629","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/margieharp"},{"teacherId":2052529,"projectId":9207890,"letterContent":"I am so grateful to have your support. I know it isn't very exciting for someone to say they got the furniture for the students, but it is so important for the students to have safe and comfortable chairs, and for the teacher to be able to stack them out of the way sometimes. This was a treamendous gift to our room.\r\n\r\n At the same time our centers needed some remodeling as did our bulletin boards. Old borders make the room less inviting. Having the fun grass border on our habitats was great. The grass livened up the farm, made the pond and field look so much better. The Color my World Alphabet border went into the Library Center, which became a sought after center. Students got the pointers and played \"teacher\" having a friend sit in one of the stack chairs and tell the letter and sound the letter makes. \r\n\r\n Just as important we needed some new groceries - I don't think the students at the old ones, but time certainly took it's toll on them and it is nice to have the store looking great again.","fullyFundedDate":1743449110011,"projectUrl":"project/transforming-our-classroom/9207890/","projectTitle":"Transforming our Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Harp","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2052529_orig.jpg?crop=587,587,x0,y19&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1672889735629","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/margieharp"},{"teacherId":2052529,"projectId":9165112,"letterContent":"There is no way to explain what a great impact it is to have the dehumidifier. Students were sweaty and hot, posters on the wall and their work were coiling in the moisture. That dehumidifier made the room much more comfortable and the student's work stayed flat on the bulletin boards. Thank you. \r\n Everyone loves the Roll & Race activity ramp. Seeing the impact different surfaces had on the speed of the car or block rolling down was great. They also love building with the giant building block set. Having the big red \"bricks\" to build castles, houses, stores is fun and creative. I think I have a few architects this year. The Life Cycle of Bee Figurines & Plant Toy Flower Sets brought my science center to life - it was a highly sought after center. My students were beyond excited to receive their school boxes and pencil sharpeners. The pencil sharpeners have helped them be more independent with sharpening their pencils. The school boxes have helped students to keep better track of their materials and keeping other students from taking their materials by accident. These boxes have made such a difference in keeping desks and materials organized. The students are better able to have flexible seating with these boxes. They can take their box with them where ever they sit in the classroom and therefore take all their materials with them. My students always take their box with them when they go to the writing center. \r\n\r\nWe will continue to use our boxes through the remainder of the school year and then my students next year will use them as well.
