Their eyes lit up as they explored the different resources we received and worked to establish the different activity stations. The pride they felt in being the \"experts\" for their stations was incredible to witness.\r\n\r\nThe moment they first saw the supplies, there was a collective \"wow!\" as they imagined all the possibilities. Our student artists gravitated toward the watercolors and chipboards, brainstorming designs for the Mindful Art Spaces. Others were drawn to the colorful beads and charms for the Affirmation Stations, already thinking about the encouraging phrases they wanted to share with their classmates. The tactile materials like bubble wands and pop-its sparked instant curiosity, with students testing them out and discussing how they could introduce them as calming strategies to peers.\r\n\r\nThe next step for our students is to fully lead these activities during Mental Health Awareness Week. By combining creativity with wellness, they are building a supportive, mindful environment that will have a lasting impact on our school community.
