The addition of the new classroom rugs has made a tremendous impact on both teachers and students every single day. These rugs are much more than simple classroom decorations; they have become an important part of the students' daily learning experience and have helped create a warm, comfortable environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive together.\r\n\r\nIn first grade, students spend a great deal of time gathered together as a class for important lessons and activities. Morning meetings, read-alouds, phonics instruction, group discussions, and collaborative learning all happen while students are seated together on the classroom rug. Before receiving these new rugs, the classrooms did not have the same inviting central gathering space that encourages students to come together comfortably. Now, the rugs provide a special place where students can sit as a group, focus on their teacher, participate in conversations, and build strong classroom relationships.\r\n\r\nThe bright colors and cheerful design of the rugs have also brought so much joy and energy into the classrooms. Every day, the rugs brighten the room and help create a positive atmosphere that makes students feel excited to come to school. A welcoming classroom environment is especially important for young learners because it helps them feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. The rugs have truly transformed the classrooms into spaces where students can feel proud, comfortable, and eager to participate.\r\n\r\nOne of the most memorable moments was when the new rugs arrived. The students were completely surprised and filled with excitement as they saw the colorful new addition to their classrooms. Their smiles, enthusiasm, and appreciation showed just how meaningful this gift was to them. What may seem like a simple donation has brought happiness and excitement not just to one classroom, but to the entire first grade community. The students immediately gathered together on the rugs, excited to share stories, lessons, and learning experiences with one another.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has directly impacted the daily lives of these students and teachers. Because of your donations, Mrs. Swan and Mrs. DeVomecourt are able to provide their students with a more organized, collaborative, and engaging learning environment. The rugs support both academic learning and social growth by encouraging students to work together, listen carefully, and build classroom community.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and support. Your donations have created lasting memories and meaningful opportunities for first grade students. The new classroom rugs are already making a difference by bringing comfort, brightness, and joy into the classrooms each day. Your generosity has helped create spaces where children can continue to learn, grow, and succeed together.","fullyFundedDate":1755709128074,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-rugs-for-whole-group-learning/9448466/","projectTitle":"Classroom Rugs for Whole Group Learning Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Gordon","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3411341_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1778688227595","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3411341"},{"teacherId":2143751,"projectId":9799964,"letterContent":"The popularity of new corner reading section is apparent to all who visit the library. We are working on developing routines, responsibility, and independence, so the way technology is stored and managed affects both our learning time and classroom behavior.\r\n\r\nWithout an organized system, passing out and collecting Chromebooks can take several minutes each time. Our cart is labeled, orderly and allows our students to: quickly find their assigned device, plug it back in correctly, and begin lessons sooner. It saves hours of instructional time over the course of a week..\r\n\r\nIt has also helped with responsibility and independence. Our third graders are eager to feel grown-up and capable. They are taking care of shared materials, plugging in devices properly, returning items to the correct place and following classroom procedures. This has built ownership and reduces reliance on my co-teacher and I for simple tasks.\r\n\r\nAll of this adds to our learning time, which is precious, we can seamlessly transition from paper to computer and vice versa.","fullyFundedDate":1757423441191,"projectUrl":"project/charge-up-our-learning/9666251/","projectTitle":"Charge Up Our Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Evans","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8299805_orig.jpg?crop=1080,1080,x139,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1662401910421","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8299805"},{"teacherId":8299805,"projectId":9245902,"letterContent":"These new books have opened up wonderful opportunities for our 3rd graders to learn about empathy, identity, and self-acceptance.
