The materials donated enabled students to improve academic achievement for quarter one of school year 25-26. \r\n\r\nYou donated composition notebooks, white copy paper, colored paper, writing utensils and highlighters among other items, for 100 students, 80 of them are 9th graders and are new to high school. As a result of your donations, each student is building an interactive notebook that will aid them throughout their high school career. \r\n\r\nThe students were excited and surprised that the items to build the notebooks would be provided for them. They were quite grateful and some of them, humbled.\r\n\r\nAs a result of having these materials, we were able to delve further into our literary terms, vocabulary, writing and presentations because materials were available and accessible. As the year progresses, student notebooks will reflect activities, assignments and presentations for the entire year.","fullyFundedDate":1753975089784,"projectUrl":"project/facilitating-critical-thinking-one-inte/9468448/","projectTitle":"Facilitating Critical Thinking, One Interactive Notebook At A Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. A. We created 5 different projects as a form of assessment that demonstrated students' knowledge of 5 different Geometry units. Without your help and support we would not have been able to accomplish this.\r\nFirst my students created a Geometry Scrapbook. In this scrapbook they found real world examples of Geometric terms. For example they used railroad tracks for parallel lines.\r\nSecond they made an advertisement project using conditional statements and their converse, inverse, and contrapositive.\r\nThird, students made a map of a fictional city using 4 parallel lines and 2 transversal. Their city had to include buildings placed at specific angles such as alternate interior, alternate exterior, corresponding, same side interior, and vertical angles. \r\nThe fourth project was a brochure comparing different centers of an angle such as circumcenter, orthocenter, incenter, and centroid. \r\nThe fifth and final project was a children's book called all about polygons and quadrilaterals. In the book student demonstrated their knowledge of polygons and different theorems while making a colorful book. \r\nAgain, thank you so much for the donations.","fullyFundedDate":1718994303307,"projectUrl":"project/geometric-dreams-fuel-creativity-with-a/8416034/","projectTitle":"Geometric Dreams: Fuel Creativity with Art Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Georgiadi","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9552692"},{"teacherId":6591860,"projectId":9065105,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for your generosity to make the Heroes Project happen!
