Even though the school year has only just begun, your gift is already making a meaningful difference. When a student comes to me asking if they can borrow clothes, I often see a wave of relief wash over them as they see the clean, new items available. What may seem like a small moment is actually a powerful one. It tells them that they are cared for, that they belong here, and that they can take pride in themselves as they work hard each day.\r\n\r\nThe impact of your gift is clear in countless ways. Students walk into class standing a little taller, more at ease with their peers, eager to participate, and better able to focus on learning because they no longer have to carry the weight of worry about the condition of their clothing. Having clean, comfortable clothes restores confidence and dignity, helping our students embrace their place in the classroom and the school community.\r\n\r\nYour kindness has given them so much more than clothes. It has given them comfort, pride, and a stronger sense of belonging. For that, we are truly grateful.","fullyFundedDate":1744305998136,"projectUrl":"project/clothing-essential-for-empowered-and-eng/9008124/","projectTitle":"Clothing Essential for Empowered and Engaged Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Sankey","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9874842"},{"teacherId":9576407,"projectId":8717765,"letterContent":"The impact of your donations has shaped the materials and how students will learn about life science this year. The students in my science class will now be able to use a microscope to see mitosis, meiosis, and other slides. Not only will students be able to learn how to use a microscope but they will be able to complete labs to help them have a whole body learning experience in science. They has a great time taking samples of their spit, hair, and food to see how different cells look under a microscope. We were able to look at a verity of other organisms due to the slides such as; a tape worm, house fly wings, and human blood. The students were so excited when they heard that we were getting a microscope and wanted to look at anything and everything. Due to all the excitement we took a day of exploration with the microscope where we taught the students how to use the microscope and let them each pic a few slides to look at. The donated microscope and slides will be used throughout the year to enhance their learning in the different life science topics. I am so happy that this class as well as future classes will be able to have a hands on experience with their science curriculum.","fullyFundedDate":1735067033392,"projectUrl":"project/life-science-lab-equipment/8717765/","projectTitle":"Life Science Lab Equipment","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Davis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9576407"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_25805","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":57,"numTeachers":13,"percentFrplEligible":46,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":3,"percentWhite":50,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":33,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"4.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":58.8,"schoolId":25805,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Clay Academy on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Clay Academy","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/woodstock-community-unit-school-district-200/clay-academy/25805"}
