They are also able to choose what skill and type of activity they want to work on that day. In doing this they are able to have more control and are working on independence.\r\n Students are assigned a color and are able to work on any activities that are in their color bin. I change the activities out every two weeks so they are able to get extra practice and I am not trying to change small group work everyday. I am so happy to be able to upgrade my small group set up to make my classroom more manageable as well as help students learn to work independently.","fullyFundedDate":1687737577936,"projectUrl":"project/small-group-timebig-achievement-time/7459873/","projectTitle":"Small Group Time=Big Achievement Time","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Kaimann","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9082612_orig.jpg?crop=2208,2208,x0,y493&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1687540618005","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9082612"},{"teacherId":9082612,"projectId":9439985,"letterContent":"Thank you so very much for contributing to my classroom. My students and I were so excited when we received the light panel and transparent manipulatives. The bags to organize everything was so nice to be able to have them all labeled and in one place to be able to use them efficiently. The light panel is flat and light weight so it is easy to store and set up anywhere in the classroom. \r\n \r\n My students are able to use the light panel during small group time to practice their math skills. So far this year we have used it to practice sorting, counting and matching quantities. My students are loving that it is a fun, hands on engaging way to practice what they have already learned. As we move through this school year I am working on making activity cards that go with each of the different manipulative bags so there are multiple uses for each of the types of manipulatives. Once I have all of the activity cards done this year I will be able to pull out the activity and have it ready in just a few minutes and that is a great feeling. \r\n\r\n Donors like you make such a difference in small schools like mine. If it weren't for people like you we wouldn't be able to have such awesome and engaging tools for our classrooms and students. We use the sensory room daily for scheduled sensory breaks or as a tool for de-escalation. It has been crucial for each student's individual achievement, and using each of the items as needed. \r\n\r\nIn particular, the swing has been a favorite of all of my students! It can spin in all directions and makes them feel like they are receiving a hug. This can be helpful with emotional and sensory regulation. Many individuals who have autism like a tight hug or the feeling of being enclosed. \r\n\r\nIn our sensory room, I am hoping that we will continue to grow and expand our space so that it can adapt to the needs of our current students as well as the students in years to come. Previously, we had been using rolled up paper and that was not nearly as effective. \r\n The students have commented on the new lighting in the library. The fluorescent lights were very harsh on our new white linoleum floors. Now with the yellow light covers the room has a soft, comfortable and cozy warm light. It's much better for reading and feels soothing. \r\n Again, with our heartfelt gratitude, the students at Elsberry School grades pre-K through 6th really appreciate the donation to make our library feel cozy and safe.","fullyFundedDate":1733167261557,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-and-safe/8873265/","projectTitle":"Cozy and Safe","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9801667"},{"teacherId":8432987,"projectId":8076871,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for the kindness behind your donation to my class project.
