Because of your generosity, our room is now filled with rhythm, movement, creativity, and joy. These materials are already making a meaningful difference in the daily experiences of my students, and I am so grateful that you chose to invest in their learning and growth.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students, this project has provided their first opportunity to explore musical instruments in a hands-on way. The music toys have quickly become a favorite part of our day. Children eagerly gather during circle time to sing, clap, shake, and play together. What may look like simple play is actually powerful learning happening in real time. Through music, students are building language skills, practicing listening and turn-taking, and learning how to express their emotions in healthy ways.\r\n\r\nI have already noticed how music has helped my students with transitions and focus. Songs and rhythms help calm busy bodies, guide routines, and create a sense of structure that young children need. Students who sometimes struggle to sit still or communicate verbally are finding their voices through music. Watching them gain confidence as they explore sounds and rhythms has been incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nThese music toys have also strengthened our classroom community. Playing instruments together encourages cooperation, sharing, and teamwork. Students are learning how to listen to one another, follow a beat, and work as a group. These social and emotional skills are essential at the preschool level and will support them well beyond this year.\r\n\r\nYour support has also helped ensure equity in our classroom. Many early childhood programs have limited funding for enrichment materials like music resources. Because of you, my students now have access to high-quality tools that support their development and creativity. Every child, regardless of background, gets to participate, explore, and feel included.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, I cannot express how meaningful it is to see my students so engaged and excited to learn. Your kindness and belief in education have directly impacted real children in a real classroom. You didn't just donate items — you helped create moments of joy, learning, and connection that my students will remember.","fullyFundedDate":1769180140709,"projectUrl":"project/joyful-jams/9981035/","projectTitle":"Joyful Jams","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ashley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7783149_orig.png?crop=591,591,x0,y289&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1619113440333","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7783149"},{"teacherId":7783149,"projectId":10031852,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, my students are using the new self-regulation toys in our classroom safe space to calm their bodies, identify their feelings, and practice coping strategies. One meaningful moment happened when a student felt overwhelmed and independently chose a sensory tool from the safe space. After a few quiet minutes, they were able to rejoin the group feeling calm and confident. These resources are helping students learn that it's okay to take a break and use tools to manage big emotions.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were immediately drawn to them. They explored the textures, asked how each item could help their bodies feel better, and were eager to try them out. Many students quickly connected the tools to their feelings, sharing things like, \"This helps me feel calm,\" or \"I can use this when I'm upset.\" It was reassuring to see how naturally they embraced the space as a positive and supportive part of our classroom.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue teaching students how to recognize their emotions and choose appropriate tools from the safe space. We are practicing naming feelings, using breathing strategies, and learning when and how to take a break responsibly. They gathered around the table, full of curiosity and wonder, asking, \"What does this do?\" and \"Can I try?\" Even students who are usually hesitant jumped in, experimenting and problem-solving as they explored how the tools worked. It was amazing to watch their confidence grow as they made discoveries on their own.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue using these science resources during hands-on lessons focused on observing, predicting, and experimenting. Because of your kindness, our classroom now has engaging, hands-on math resources that are helping our youngest learners build strong foundations in a fun and meaningful way. Your support has made a powerful difference in how our students experience math each day.\r\n\r\nIn preschool, math learning is about exploration, discovery, and building confidence. The materials you provided allow students to learn important early math concepts such as counting, number recognition, sorting, patterns, shapes, and simple problem-solving through play-based activities. These hands-on experiences help make abstract concepts concrete and accessible for young learners.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the math materials, we have seen increased excitement and engagement during math time. Students are eager to participate, explore new activities, and challenge themselves. They are counting objects with pride, recognizing numbers in their environment, and working together to solve simple math problems. These moments may seem small, but they are critical building blocks for future academic success.\r\n\r\nThe math materials have also been especially beneficial for students with diverse learning styles and needs. Many preschoolers learn best through movement and hands-on interaction, and these tools allow them to fully participate and succeed. Students who were once hesitant or unsure are now showing confidence as they explore math concepts at their own pace. Seeing students smile as they master new skills is a direct result of your generosity.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, these materials support important social-emotional skills. Students are learning to take turns, share resources, communicate ideas, and collaborate with peers. Math activities have become opportunities for teamwork, patience, and perseverance, helping students grow not only as learners but also as individuals.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your support sends a powerful message to our students—that their learning matters and that there are people who believe in them. Knowing that caring donors took the time to invest in their education helps build confidence and a positive attitude toward learning that will last far beyond preschool.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of our students and classroom community, thank you for making this project possible. Your generosity has provided valuable tools that will continue to support early math development for years to come. We are incredibly grateful for your support and for the lasting impact you have made on our preschool learners.","fullyFundedDate":1767149957294,"projectUrl":"project/little-mathematicians/9970930/","projectTitle":"Little Mathematicians","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Ashley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7783149_orig.png?crop=591,591,x0,y289&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1619113440333","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7783149"},{"teacherId":7783149,"projectId":9970921,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support of our DonorsChoose project for block materials. Because of your kindness, our classroom now has high-quality blocks that are already making a meaningful difference in how our students learn, collaborate, and grow. Your generosity has helped turn hands-on learning into an everyday experience for our students, and we are incredibly grateful.\r\n\r\nBlock play is much more than just play—it is a powerful learning tool. With these new materials, students are developing critical skills such as problem-solving, creativity, spatial awareness, and early math concepts. As students build, stack, and design, they are learning about balance, measurement, patterns, and cause and effect in a way that is engaging and meaningful. These experiences help lay the foundation for future success in STEM learning.\r\n\r\nSince the arrival of the block materials, we have seen increased student engagement and collaboration. Students are working together to plan structures, share ideas, and solve challenges as a team. They are practicing communication skills, learning to take turns, and developing perseverance when their designs don't work the first time. These moments of trial and success are helping students build confidence in themselves as learners.\r\n\r\nThe blocks have also been especially beneficial for students who learn best through hands-on experiences. Some of our students struggle to express their understanding through traditional methods, but block play allows them to demonstrate their thinking in creative and meaningful ways. We have seen students proudly explain their structures, make thoughtful adjustments, and feel a sense of accomplishment when their ideas come to life.\r\n\r\nYour donation has helped create a more inclusive and engaging classroom environment. The block area has become a space where all students feel welcome, capable, and excited to learn. It encourages imagination while supporting important academic and social-emotional skills. The joy and focus we see during block time is a direct result of your generosity.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your support shows our students that there are people who care deeply about their education and believe in their potential. Knowing that donors took the time to support their learning builds confidence and motivation that extends far beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nOn behalf of our students and our classroom community, thank you for making this project possible.
