The Pathways is a behavioral support program for our students with the most challenging behaviors. \r\n\r\nThe building bricks are being used in our sensory/cool down area of the classroom. The students also use the bricks in math and science classes as manipulatives and to build 3D models. Each of our students is assigned a Chromebook for use during instruction; however, many students have fine motor skill challenges and/or learning differences that make it challenging for them to use the touchpad. The wireless mice (and batteries!) afford them the opportunity to use their devices stress free from these challenges and focus on academics. The Astrobrite paper is used as part of our behavior modification program. The program has four different color levels (identified by the Astrobrite paper). Students earn points each day for appropriate behaviors and can move up through the program earning additional privileges.\r\n\r\nWhile it may seem like small things, the overall funding for these classroom materials have had a huge impact for our students.
