Each material donated has been used with great enthusiasm!\r\n\r\nOur new DonorsChoose materials have been a massive hit in our ID classroom, and the students absolutely love them. We use items such as Labeled Sensory Mats, Magnetic Counting Maze, textured Sensory Tiles, sensory sand box, LED lights, and Fish Spinning Chairs every day during centers and small-group activities. One of my favorite moments so far was watching a student independently work through the Magnetic Counting Maze while happily spinning on the Fish Chair—calm, focused, and clearly proud. These hands-on resources have made learning more engaging and accessible, while also helping students regulate and stay focused.\r\n\r\nThe excitement was immediate when the students first saw the materials. Smiles, clapping, happy sounds, and lots of curiosity filled the room as they explored the textures, lights, and movement options. The LED lights helped create a calm atmosphere, while the sensory mats, tiles, and sand box quickly became student favorites. Moving forward, we'll keep using these tools to build communication, early academic skills, and independence as part of our daily routines and IEP goals.
