My students and I are so incredibly grateful and thankful for all of the materials and opportunities that you have given us. \r\nThis project is something near and dear to my heart, as it provides all of my current and future students the chance to boost creativity, join clubs, and create. The students absolutely lit up when they first saw what had arrived, and when I explained how we were going to use it. Incorporating this into my lessons and by building a club around it, has enhanced my teaching and joy for teaching. It has been so great using these materials as tools to aid learning, to build freely, and to create friendships and work together. I know that it is just going to continue to grow for students, and I am already so excited to see what the future holds for this. \r\nWe have used these in lessons such as building a town for Social Studies, competitive resources for Social Studies, building and then writing about what you wrote for ELA, and so much more. We enjoyed competitions and team building in Lego Club such as building the highest tower, a one piece build where each student adds one piece at a time, and house competitions. Every single one of my students when given the chance wanted to build with these materials and sought out more time and ways to do so. \r\nI know that I speak for myself and all of my students when I extend a huge thank you for the materials. They love all of it, as do I!","fullyFundedDate":1735566695382,"projectUrl":"project/building-students-futures-with-legos/8979951/","projectTitle":"Building Students' Futures with Legos","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Salo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9851229_orig.jpg?crop=2400,2400,x0,y304&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1733072676868","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9851229"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_59893","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":430,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":27,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":87,"percentIndigenous":3,"percentLatinx":1,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"17.2:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_REMOTE"},"inStateSupporters":82.6,"schoolId":59893,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Cherry Creek Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Cherry Creek Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/michigan/marquette-area-public-school-district/cherry-creek-elementary-school/59893"}
