In contrast, my students have already read two complete books within this school year alone. This shift demonstrates how the right materials can reignite a culture of reading and curiosity. Many students began taking greater ownership of their learning environment, recognizing that a clean, well-supplied space allows everyone to focus, collaborate, and thrive. Vacuuming has helped save the new carpets, and it has given kids more ownership of the classroom.\r\n\r\nAt the same time, integrating readings and discussions around artificial intelligence expanded their sense of curiosity and critical thinking about the future. Books like Scary Smart and The War on Normal People challenged students to consider how technology influences human behavior, ethics, and career paths. By combining practical classroom routines with forward-looking inquiry into AI, the project helped students connect discipline with discovery, learning that preparation, both in maintaining their environment and understanding emerging technologies, is key to success in a changing world.
