We use these snacks during designated times in the day when students begin to lose energy, such as mid-morning or before afternoon lessons. I've noticed that after having a snack, students are more focused, patient, and ready to engage in learning activities. One meaningful moment was during a math lesson when a student who typically struggled to stay attentive was able to participate fully and confidently after having a snack—something that may seem small, but has had a powerful impact.\r\n\r\nWhen the snacks first arrived, my students were beyond excited. Their faces lit up as they realized these resources were for them. Many expressed gratitude right away, and several students shared that they often didn't have a snack to bring from home. What stood out most was how respectfully and thoughtfully they handled the snacks, understanding that this support would help everyone. It created a sense of community and reassurance that their needs were seen and valued.\r\n\r\nThanks to your support, my students are now better prepared to take on challenging lessons and stay engaged throughout the day. As we move forward, they will continue working on building academic stamina during reading, writing, and problem-solving activities—skills that require sustained focus and energy. You've given them more than food; you've given them the ability to learn without the distraction of hunger. Believe me, the waiting list to get into this group is LONG! Students filled out a Google form sharing information with me about what types of activities they are involved in during school. The chosen students were kiddo's who were not involved in other school activities. It is my goal to give some students a place to fit in and be involved that doesn't require being popular, the smartest kids, or the cool kid! We have an amazing group of girls and boys in the group!\r\n\r\nThe kids are very excited when the time comes to fill out the form to be chosen for the group. I have kids daily ask if there are any new open spots so they can join. Although I would love to take them all, we choose to keep a small quaint class giving our small group a chance to shine. And shining they are! We have some kids that are still learning to master the slip knot to others that have started learning their third stitch and soon to start their first project. I am so proud of all their success.\r\n\r\nThe group meets once a week for 40 minutes in the library at the end of the day while Chorus meets. We are brainstorming some ideas for simple projects this week that we can do to sell at our annual vendor/craft show that benefits our district wide weekend feeding program. Your thoughtful contribution has made a significant and lasting impact on our students and our art program as a whole.\r\n\r\nThe \"How to Draw\" books have become an essential resource for our young artists. These books offer clear, engaging guidance that empowers students to develop their drawing skills at their own pace. Whether a kindergartener is learning to draw basic shapes or a fifth grader is exploring more detailed illustrations, your donation has provided a valuable tool that meets each student at their individual level.\r\n\r\nMoreover, the Classroom Library storage has greatly enhanced the organization and accessibility of our materials. By making these resources easily available, students now have the independence to choose projects that align with their interests and artistic goals. This has fostered a more personalized and motivating environment, where creativity and self-expression can flourish.\r\n\r\nYour support has enriched our art room in ways that go beyond materials—it has encouraged choice, boosted confidence, and nurtured a love for art that students will carry with them for years to come.
