My students were beyond thrilled and excited when receiving these resources that will help them with their learning. My students are using the whiteboards when doing our number talks for Math. As well, we use our whiteboards to practice our weekly words. Students write the different syllable parts and syllable types to help them read and pronounce the words more efficiently. \r\nMy students also enjoyed the markers as well. It was recently our 100 days of school, and students were able to use the markers to color their 100 days of school glasses and wear them in our school fashion show. The seat cushions were a class favorite as students are able to have flexible seating throughout the week. This donation was magical for my students. During independent reading time, students use the flashlights to focus on their books, which has turned reading into a calm but exciting experience. One special moment was during our first \"flashlight reading\" session, students quietly settled in, fully immersed in their stories, treating reading time like a cozy adventure. The individual whiteboards are now part of our daily routine as well. Students use them to solve math problems, practice sentence writing, and quickly share ideas, allowing everyone to actively participate and take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, their reaction was pure excitement. Their eyes lit up when they realized we would be using flashlights for reading, and many shared how fun and \"special\" it felt. The whiteboards were equally well received, students were eager to write, draw, and show their thinking right away. Having their own whiteboard gave even the quieter students confidence to participate without fear of making mistakes. Overall, these simple tools created immediate joy and motivation, making learning feel more interactive, inclusive, and meaningful for every student.","fullyFundedDate":1765239887268,"projectUrl":"project/lighting-up-learning/9610830/","projectTitle":"Lighting up learning!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Arce","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8374115_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1649361828653","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mssalarce"},{"teacherId":5567890,"projectId":9189450,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your contribution.
