Your contribution has made it possible for my students to delve into a wonderful set of STEM resources that provide them with the opportunity to work collaboratively, problem-solve and use their creativity and inquiry skills. \r\n When we opened our boxes with STEM resources, my 5th graders' joy and smiles were contagious. Every morning, we begin our school day with a \"soft start.\" During this time, students have an opportunity to work on different STEM activities that offer choice, positive engagement, encourage critical thinking skills, and set a positive tone for the school day. Our Donors' Choose STEM Materials have been integral to this part of our day!\r\n With our STEM resources, students have been working collaboratively and problem-solving. This week, students used building materials to create a variety of structures. It was amazing to see them working together to create a giant \"train\" that span the length of our classroom! Additionally, the puzzles are allowing my 5th graders to further explore topics we are learning about during our science block in a kinesthetic manner that continues to build their communication and collaborative skills. \r\n As we explore additional topics this school year, the set STEM materials will continue to give my students the opportunity to engage in discussions, experiment with different ideas, explore the design process and build confidence in them as thinkers and creators!
