Thank you for investing in our classroom and showing my students that people believe in their potential and skills. \r\nWhile many of you may use technology for remote work, gaming, or streaming at home, using digital tools in the classroom is a little different. Instead than using these technologies for passive screen time, we employ them for guided, active learning. Students use interactive digital platforms, virtual manipulatives, and collaborative graphing tools to test concepts, solve issues in real time, and receive immediate feedback from me rather of merely watching or playing. By allowing students to progress at their own speed and guaranteeing that each student receives focused assistance, it closes gaps.\r\nThe most thrilling part for the students is the interactivity and choice. They love that learning feels like an active exploration rather than a worksheet. Whether they are manipulating virtual algebraic models or collaborating on a live digital project, they light up when they realize they can build, create, and test things themselves.\r\nThank you again for making this interactive and inclusive environment possible. The students use the supplies to see how different types of chemical bonds (ionic or covalent bonds) can conduct electricity. The students learned that covalent bonds can conduct electricity and ionic bonds can not. They were so excited when the could light the light buld up by just using the materials. Your generosity has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated by our students. The inclusion of our own in-house 3D printer has gone a long way in helping students understand prototyping and development in a way simply not possible without technology like this. Students have begun using the 3D printer in order to work diligently as the robotics season starts up, with several students becoming fascinated with the ins and outs of the entire process. Even students who simply come into our space for help or chit-chat always have questions about it and how it functions. \r\n\r\n\tPractical and useful technology like this is what really helps students. Too often, students use outdated, or overpriced technology that does not lend itself to the robustness required by education. Thankfully, a device like this is more than capable of meeting the needs of our students, without the near constant battle of maintaining and problem solving that 3D printers in the past required. It is for this reason that I personally thank you for your generosity. \r\n\r\n\tFinally, it is our students' sincerest appreciation that I wish to convey. My students deserve so much, and often there is a battle to bring to them opportunities for meaningful experiences. With your help, my students not only have seen growth as robotics competitors, but also as learners and students.
