Your generosity has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated by our students. The inclusion of our own in-house 3D printer has gone a long way in helping students understand prototyping and development in a way simply not possible without technology like this. Students have begun using the 3D printer in order to work diligently as the robotics season starts up, with several students becoming fascinated with the ins and outs of the entire process. Even students who simply come into our space for help or chit-chat always have questions about it and how it functions. \r\n\r\n\tPractical and useful technology like this is what really helps students. Too often, students use outdated, or overpriced technology that does not lend itself to the robustness required by education. Thankfully, a device like this is more than capable of meeting the needs of our students, without the near constant battle of maintaining and problem solving that 3D printers in the past required. It is for this reason that I personally thank you for your generosity. \r\n\r\n\tFinally, it is our students' sincerest appreciation that I wish to convey. My students deserve so much, and often there is a battle to bring to them opportunities for meaningful experiences. With your help, my students not only have seen growth as robotics competitors, but also as learners and students. They know they have cutting edge technology, and more so, that there are those out there who sincerely believe in them, and in what they do.","fullyFundedDate":1758125623338,"projectUrl":"project/making-the-future/9371957/","projectTitle":"Making the Future!","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Prock","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6921919_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1695656588263","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6921919"},{"teacherId":8916043,"projectId":9092668,"letterContent":"When our DonorsChoose package arrived, it felt like Christmas morning in the classroom. The snacks and supplies you provided have already made a meaningful impact. The snacks have helped fuel our learning, especially during long blocks and testing days, while the classroom supplies have supported everything from small group instruction to independent projects. One moment that stands out was during our community-building circle: students used the new markers and chart paper to create \"vision boards\" for the school year. It was powerful to see them express their goals and dreams with such creativity and pride.\r\n\r\nThe reaction when students first saw the materials was pure joy. Many of my students come from communities where resources are limited, so seeing brand-new items just for them was both exciting and affirming. One student said, \"This makes me feel like people care about us.\" That moment reminded me why I do this work. Your generosity didn't just provide supplies, it sent a message that our classroom matters. Thank you for being part of that journey.","fullyFundedDate":1746699551386,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-students-through-black-histor/9092668/","projectTitle":"Empowering Students Through Black History: Essential Tools for Success","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Lewis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8916043_orig.jpg?crop=958,958,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1675272850308","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8916043"},{"teacherId":7772821,"projectId":5436850,"letterContent":"The \"Keep Freshmen Fresh\" project has made a huge impact in our classroom. My students now have easy access to essential sanitary and health items, which has helped them feel more comfortable and confident throughout the school day. One memorable moment was when a student who had been struggling with hygiene-related anxiety finally felt at ease knowing they had access to the supplies they needed without embarrassment.\r\nTheir reactions were a mix of surprise, relief, and gratitude. Many students couldn't believe that someone had taken the time to ensure they had access to these necessities. A few even mentioned how much it meant to them to know that people they had never met cared about their well-being. \r\nThe next step is continuing to foster a culture of care and responsibility. We're encouraging students to take what they need while also being mindful of others. Additionally, we're integrating discussions about self-care and personal wellness into our lessons, helping students build lifelong habits that promote their health and confidence.","fullyFundedDate":1615435558263,"projectUrl":"project/lets-put-the-fresh-in-freshman/5436850/","projectTitle":"Let's Put the FRESH in Freshman","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Bleitner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7772821_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x345,y105&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1615216407369","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7772821"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_77088","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":556,"numTeachers":32,"percentFrplEligible":93,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":47,"percentWhite":10,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":30,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"17.4:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Record","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":null},"inStateSupporters":42.1,"schoolId":77088,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Central Academy - Excellence on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Central Academy - Excellence","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/missouri/kansas-city-school-district-33/central-high-school/77088"}
