Students were able to test salinity of salt water comparable to ocean water and then use the desalination process to separate fresh water from the salt water. The students were so excited to get their hands-on building and trouble shooting the best design for the coasters. Students across grade levels even collaborated to help troubleshoot how to best build them for the most efficient cart track. The sensors and coaster will continue to be a valuable learning tool to Physics, Physical Science, and STEM classes as they learn team work, strategy, and hands on physics concepts.
