Because of your generosity, we received essential supplies that are already making a big difference for our students.\r\n\r\n\r\nThanks to your gift we now have:\r\nCrayola crayons and washable markers (classpack, 256 ct)\r\nScotch Laminator and Pouches \r\nCrayola colored pencils (classpack of 240)\r\nAmazon Basics pre-sharpened #2 pencils (150 count)\r\nA heavy-duty 3-hole punch (AFMAT electric)\r\nNice 'N CLEAN SmudgeGuard lens wipes (400 individually wrapped wipes)\r\nGoldfish and Sunshine Cheez-It snack bundle\r\n\r\n\r\nImpact in the classroom\r\nIncreased creativity and engagement: With a large, reliable supply of crayons, markers, and colored pencils, every student can participate in art, writing, and hands-on projects without waiting for shared materials. Students are more willing to take risks, personalize work, and demonstrate learning through drawings, diagrams, and illustrated writing.\r\nImproved writing practice and assessment: The pre-sharpened #2 pencils mean fewer interruptions for sharpening and more uninterrupted time for writing, math practice, and formative assessments. This helps students build fluency and confidence.\r\nThe Scotch laminator and pouches will protect special projects and learning resources, allowing us to revisit and reuse them throughout the year. \r\nStreamlined classroom management and efficiency: The electric 3-hole punch saves valuable instructional minutes when preparing packets, student portfolios, and classroom centers. It reduces teacher prep time so I can focus more on instruction and small-group support.\r\nHealth, safety, and lens care: The individually wrapped lens wipes have been invaluable for cleaning students' glasses, classroom devices, and learning tools, helping maintain clear vision and hygiene throughout the day.\r\nSnacks that support learning readiness: The Goldfish and Cheez-It snacks have been used for reward incentives, classroom celebrations, and as an occasional boost for students who arrive hungry. Having reliable snacks on hand reduces distractions and helps students focus.\r\n\r\n\r\nA few classroom moments\r\nDuring a recent small group activity, students used the new markers and colored pencils to create 48 anchor charts. Each chart featured a tree with branches labeled as character traits from our novel \"Crash\" by Jerry Spenilli. Students wrote supporting text evidence on paper \"leaves\" and glued them to the appropriate branches. The supplies allowed every group to participate fully, and produce clear, colorful charts that reinforce text-based analysis. Students were proud to display their finished pieces on our classroom wall.\r\n\r\n\r\nDuring a timed writing fluency activity, the abundance of pre-sharpened pencils meant no one had to stop to sharpen, and I was able to collect more authentic work for progress monitoring.\r\n\r\n\r\nA student who struggles with attention used a small, quick snack during a transition and returned to the table calmer and ready to learn — a simple thing that made a big difference that day.\r\n\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in our students. Your support provides not only supplies but also dignity, opportunity, and a stronger learning environment. We are deeply grateful.\r\n\r\n\r\nWarmly,\r\nLaNita Clodfelter (and her NC 7th Grade ELA Class)\r\nCentral Davidson Middle School\r\n2591 NC Hwy 47\r\nLexington, NC 27292","fullyFundedDate":1762028569950,"projectUrl":"project/fueling-creativity-organization-and-fo/9592598/","projectTitle":"Fueling Creativity, Organization, and Focus for Every Student Daily.","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Clodfelter","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6484009_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749413140341","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-clodfelter"},{"teacherId":6484009,"projectId":9861282,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredibly generous support of our classroom.
