My students are thrilled on how our classroom library looks like and extremely grateful with the stickers. They have been working extra hard to earn them and using the target language more than ever. Working with young students is truly rewarding! \r\nIt means the world to receive the donations and see a more organized classroom library. My second graders are able to differentiate where to find the English and Spanish books. We were also able to get some colored folders and we had a variarity of colors so they were able to pick their favorite color. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your donation! When we received news that our project had been sponsored we had a mini-celebration. As a class we had a dance break to our classroom motto \"Who let the kids out!\" \"Who, Who!\" Once the package arrived the kids were gleaming with happiness- making comments on how cool they looked and how they could not wait to use them. Thank you for giving them this moment of happiness and a lesson in generosity. \r\n\r\nThe writing tablets have become a great resource in the classroom, they are used in math, language arts, science, SEL and social studies. In math they have replaced white boards in whole group, small group and individual work- students do have an option on preference in classroom resources and this is highly popular. Our parent teacher mentors have also expressed how useful and great they are. It is easy to keep information without accidentally erasing it and it offers a fun and appealing way to look at our work- it motivates students to want to show their work 🙂! Thank you again for giving our classroom another useful resource.","fullyFundedDate":1729428858961,"projectUrl":"project/writing-tablets-for-my-dual-language-stu/8798105/","projectTitle":"Writing Tablets for My Dual Language Students","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Vizcarra","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6163365_orig.jpg?crop=960,960,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1555464824337","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/vizcarra"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_25589","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":353,"numTeachers":23,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":32,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":54,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"2 - 3","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":70.6,"schoolId":25589,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Centennial Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Centennial Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/illinois/plano-community-unit-school-district-88/centennial-elementary-school/25589"}
