Your gift of Fish in a Tree and the reclining comfortable chairs has made a powerful difference for my students in ways that go far beyond what I could have imagined.\r\n \r\nFish in a Tree has truly touched the hearts of my students. Many of them see parts of themselves in the characters and have begun sharing personal connections to the story—moments when they felt challenged, misunderstood, or proud of their growth. These conversations have helped build empathy and understanding within our classroom community. I have also noticed an increase in kindness and a decrease in negative interactions as students learn to appreciate each other's unique strengths and differences.\r\n\r\nThe comfy chairs have also transformed our classroom environment. They've created a welcoming, flexible space where students feel relaxed and eager to read, collaborate, and engage in partner activities. It's wonderful to see how something as simple as comfortable seating can help students feel motivated and ready to learn.\r\n \r\nYour generosity has not only provided resources but has also helped foster a more inclusive, compassionate, and connected classroom. The students were excited to receive our Math Stackers magnet sets. They erupted with cheers when I showed them the new materials and were excited to get started on using them.\r\n\r\nThey have had a couple of opportunities thus far to use them. First using them in a counting activity. Another time using them to show their knowledge in creating equivalent numbers with 2 or 3 addends. \r\n\r\nNow that each student has their own magnetic whiteboard and Math Stackers magnet set, it opens up the learning field for each student. They can show their individual knowledge and work at their own pace, but also, if time and opportunity arises, challenge each other in their math skills. \r\n\r\nI am excited to see how we can use them for the remainder of the year.","fullyFundedDate":1757549913773,"projectUrl":"project/math-stackers-make-sense/9446843/","projectTitle":"Math Stackers Make Sense","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Braun","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2418397_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1457059870081","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-denise-braun"},{"teacherId":2418397,"projectId":9440115,"letterContent":"Thank you for your contribution to funding my Seat Sack Storage project. They arrived just in time for us to place on the chairs and begin using before their parents, many of whom helped fund this project, came for the Back to School presentation that evening.\r\n\r\nMost of the students are using the seat sacks to hold their homework folder and agenda, as well as their 2 library books. A quick look around the room at the end of the day lets me know who forgot to put their folder and agenda into their backpack to take home. We can then quickly remind them to grab it. The library books are saved from being smashed and ruined as textbooks are shoved into their desks throughout the day.","fullyFundedDate":1755753249222,"projectUrl":"project/seat-sack-storage/9440115/","projectTitle":"Seat Sack Storage","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Braun","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp2418397_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1457059870081","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-denise-braun"},{"teacherId":12324,"projectId":9207363,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of a class set of The Outsiders, our students not only read and discussed the novel—they experienced it!\r\n\r\nAfter finishing the book, we hosted an \"Outsiders Day\" where students tasted foods from the story, watched the film adaptation, and engaged in a thoughtful compare-and-contrast analysis.
