Several of my neurodivergent students immediately gravitated toward the new seating options, and I could see how quickly they felt more comfortable and at ease. One student who typically has difficulty staying focused during group activities chose a wobble stool and was able to participate for the entire session without needing redirection. These flexible seating choices have given my students a greater sense of autonomy and control over their learning environment, helping them feel seen, supported, and safe.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generous donations, our classroom has become a more inclusive and student-centered space. The bean bag chairs offer a calming place for students who need a sensory break or a quiet spot to regroup, while the wobble stools give others a healthy outlet for movement that doesn't disrupt their peers. It's made a noticeable difference in classroom behavior, engagement, and emotional regulation. I am deeply grateful for your kindness—it has truly transformed not just our seating, but our entire classroom culture. Thank you for believing in my students and helping create a learning space where everyone can thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1753641369315,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-corners-creating-a-comfort-zone-fo/9480430/","projectTitle":"Cozy Corners: Creating a Comfort Zone for Neurodivergent Learners!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Egan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp3463896_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1500993152775","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3463896"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_48697","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":1285,"numTeachers":78,"percentFrplEligible":17,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":18,"percentWhite":63,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":4,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"6 - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"16.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":73.4,"schoolId":48697,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Beacon Hill Middle School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Beacon Hill Middle School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/georgia/city-schools-of-decatur/carl-g-renfroe-middle-school/48697"}
