Many of my students come to school on their birthdays without any special plans or recognition waiting for them at home. By providing each child with a small birthday gift—a water bottle, a sucker, and a fun sticker—we can make sure every student feels seen, appreciated, and celebrated on their special day.\r\n\r\nThese simple items may seem small, but to a child, they mean so much more. A new water bottle gives each student something useful and personal that they can keep throughout the year. It helps encourage healthy habits and responsibility as they bring it to school daily, stay hydrated, and take care of their belongings. The bright, reusable bottles also help reduce waste and promote good routines. Every time they use their water bottle, they'll remember that their classroom is a place where they are valued.\r\n\r\nThe addition of a colorful sticker and a sweet treat, like a sucker, adds fun and joy to the celebration. It's amazing how a small token can light up a child's entire day. Students love to proudly show their sticker, share their excitement with friends, and feel like the classroom is celebrating alongside them. These little moments build lasting memories and help strengthen our classroom community.\r\n\r\nRecognizing birthdays in this way also builds confidence and a sense of belonging. Every student, no matter their background, deserves to feel special and cared for. When we take the time to celebrate each child equally, it reinforces the idea that everyone matters. For many students, school is their safe and happy place. A small birthday gift tells them, \"You are important. We are glad you are here.\"\r\n\r\nBeyond the celebration, these moments help create a positive classroom culture. Students learn to celebrate one another, to be kind, and to find joy in lifting others up. It fosters empathy and connection, turning our classroom into more than just a place to learn—it becomes a little family. When students feel emotionally supported and happy, they are more engaged, motivated, and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nYour generosity will help make these birthday celebrations possible. With your support, we can ensure that no student's birthday goes unnoticed. The excitement on their faces when they receive their birthday surprise is priceless. It fills our classroom with smiles, laughter, and gratitude. Something as simple as a water bottle, a sucker, and a sticker can make a child's day unforgettable and remind them that they are loved and valued.\r\n\r\nThank you for helping make every student's birthday a moment of joy. Your kindness will ripple throughout the year, bringing happiness, confidence, and belonging to every child in our classroom. These celebrations will remind them that they are part of a community that cares—and that is a gift they will carry far beyond their birthday.","fullyFundedDate":1761942271445,"projectUrl":"project/birthday-fun/9845157/","projectTitle":"Birthday Fun","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moore","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2453935_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1556415526702","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2453935"},{"teacherId":2453935,"projectId":9771296,"letterContent":"Adding big, rolling whiteboards to our classroom will have an incredible impact on the way my students learn, think, and collaborate each day. These mobile boards will transform our classroom into a space where ideas can move as freely as the students themselves. With the flexibility to roll the boards to different areas, we can create small-group learning stations, problem-solving zones, and brainstorming corners. This simple change will make learning more interactive, visual, and engaging for every child.\r\n\r\nMy fourth-grade students thrive when they are given the chance to take ownership of their learning. Having multiple whiteboards allows students to work together in teams, share their thinking, and learn from one another. Instead of sitting quietly at their desks, they'll be up on their feet—writing math problems, sketching science concepts, and mapping out their ideas. The large space provides room for creativity and helps students clearly see the connections between concepts. They'll be able to compare answers, correct mistakes, and celebrate successes together.\r\n\r\nThe inclusion of Expo markers and erasers ensures that every student has the tools they need to participate fully. These simple items may seem small, but they empower students to write, erase, and try again without fear of making mistakes. The ability to quickly adjust their work builds confidence and encourages a growth mindset. Whether we're solving multi-step math problems, diagramming sentences, or listing facts from a science investigation, students will be using the boards daily to practice and improve their skills.\r\n\r\nThe rolling design of these whiteboards means they can serve multiple purposes throughout the day. In the morning, we can use one for our daily schedule and morning message. During lessons, smaller groups can use the other sides for collaboration. In the afternoon, students can display their work to the class or use them for review games. The boards can easily move around the room to support flexible learning—a key part of today's classrooms.\r\n\r\nThese whiteboards also create a welcoming and inclusive environment. Some students feel nervous to share their ideas on paper or in front of the entire class, but when working on the whiteboard in small groups, they feel more confident and supported. It gives them a chance to communicate and express their thinking visually, which benefits all types of learners, especially those who learn best through movement and interaction.\r\n\r\nThanks to generous donors like you, our classroom will have the chance to grow in creativity, teamwork, and communication. These boards will not only make our lessons more hands-on but also strengthen our classroom community. Each student will know that their ideas matter and that they have a space to show their learning. The excitement of using these new whiteboards, markers, and erasers will inspire them to participate, explore, and succeed every single day.","fullyFundedDate":1760729464982,"projectUrl":"project/-whiteboards-on-the-move/9771296/","projectTitle":"•\tWhiteboards on the Move","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Moore","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2453935_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1556415526702","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2453935"},{"teacherId":5582894,"projectId":9722997,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for funding my project for fidgets, plush animals, & sensory toys for rewards & incentives.
